Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Brat Maker ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website at https://bratmaker.com (the "Service"). Brat Maker is an online tool that turns text you type into a Charli XCX "Brat" album-cover-style image that you can customize and download.

1. Information We Collect

a. Text you enter. The words you type into the generator are processed in your browser to render the image. We do not store this text or the images you create on our servers.

b. Google account information. You can browse the Service without an account, but generating and downloading images requires signing in. We use Google Sign-In as our only login method and request only the basic profile scopes (openid, email, profile). We receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique Google account identifier. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or any other Google data.

c. Payment information. If you purchase a subscription or credits, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number. We keep a record of the purchase (product, amount, date, and status) linked to your account.

d. Usage data and cookies. We automatically collect basic usage and device data (pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location from IP address) through cookies and similar technologies. See Section 5 for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the Service: render and let you download Brat-style images.
  • To manage your account: your Google name, email, and profile picture identify you, display your avatar, and keep you signed in.
  • To manage subscriptions and credits: grant new accounts their free starting credits, link purchases to your account, track your remaining image credits, and enable paid features.
  • To communicate with you: respond to support requests and send important service notices.
  • To improve and secure the Service: understand usage, fix bugs, and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Google User Data and Limited Use

Brat Maker's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to sign you in and provide user-facing features of the Service. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. No humans read your Google user data unless required for security, legal compliance, or with your consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account, subscription, and credit data are stored in a secure database hosted by our cloud provider. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is limited to authorized personnel. No method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account data is retained for as long as your account exists. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language, and third-party analytics and advertising cookies (such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense) to understand usage and show ads to users who are not on an ad-free plan. You can control cookies in your browser settings and manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service (authentication, hosting, payment processing, analytics), and only as needed for those purposes, or when required by law.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@bratmaker.com from the email address linked to your account. We will respond within 30 days. You can also revoke Brat Maker's access to your Google account from your Google Account permissions page.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will notify registered users of material changes by email.
